Nollywood New Sensation Yusuf Ogunlana Releases New Pictures

South Africa based filmmaker, Yusuf Ogunlana who recently collaborated with top Nollywood acts including Ayo Adesanya, Jibola Dabo, Jide Awobona, Omo Baba Oba among others to produce the movie, Convicted- a story about love, injustice and wealth distribution among the bourgeois and proletariat in the society.

In a casual chat with Yusuf’s PR manager recently, Ayo Adams revealed that the thespian is set to produce even more exciting projects to film enthusiasts.

“Yusuf is not stopping anytime soon, Convicted has shown us quite a brilliant actor and producer he is, you should watch out for his next project as this would seal his reputation as the best nollywood breakout act of 2019 in the male category” Ayo said.

In a recent interview, Yusuf revealed that after the successful outing of his movie, CONVICTED, he is ready to treat movie lovers to another creative and mind blowing production.

When asked about his passion for filmmaking, “Movie making is a passion,the only thing i don’t see or feel the stress no matter how challenging it could be. The need to touch lives through Visual representation of my artistic values is also an inspiration.” He said.

Adegbulu Oluwatosin who’s known as Iremide is a newcomer in the film industry. In this chat with Emiralty Africa, she talks family background, career and her future in filmmaking.

TELL US ABOUT YOU

My name is Adegbulu Oluwatosin Adeola ,popularly known as iremide . Iremide was given to me by my Aunty (May her soul continue to Rest In Peace) I am the only child of my parents and an orphan. I was raised by my grandma. I attended city progressive nursery and primary School for my primary education. I also attended Egbado college Ilaro for my secondary school Education and had my Ond studies at LASPOTECH. Also, I did a diploma course at the University of Lagos and I am currently studying for a degree at the Lagos state University.

EVERYDAY MANY INDIVIDUALS WALK INTO THE FILM INDUSTRY, HOW DO YOU INTEND TO STAND OUT?

I intend to stand out by giving in my best and producing good movies only and i am working on it

WHAT AND WHO HAVE INSPIRED YOUR FILM CAREER SO FAR?

So far, I have been inspired by a lot of actors but will only mention a few. Among them are Genevieve Nnaji , Omotola jolade , And in Yoruba movies Faithia Balogun, Mercy Aigbe, Biodun Okeowo, Lizzy Anjorin, Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo ,Toyin Abraham and many others.

HOW DID YOU START YOUR FILM CAREER?

I was introduced to acting by my cousin in 2009, I started with Oluwole Cole caucus but I stopped due to some personal reasons. In January 2019, I resumed to the scene fully.

ASIDE FROM ACTING, WHICH OTHER AREAS ARE YOU GOOD AT IN THE FILM INDUSTRY?

For now, it is just acting, but I will like to go into script writing later

DO YOU HAVE A CAUCUS OR INTEND TO JOIN ANY LATER?

For now, No and Yes, I might join later

IS SOCIAL MEDIA HELPING FILM BUSINESS, ESPECIALLY YOUR BRAND?

Yes, social media is really helping film business especially the upcoming actors. For now, social media as not help mine, but I know soon by God grace.
