How Inner Peace Affects You- Olajide Boluwatife A.

Inner peace is not a state of passivity, and certainly does not make life dull. On contrary it makes you more conscious, alive and happy. It helps you live life more fully.

I hope my dear friend get this point because, she once came to me that she wants inner peace but she is afraid that it will make her passive and take away all the fun from her life. No it won’t, I have described what inner peace is about.

Inner peace is also “peace of mind” this means being mentally and spiritually at peace, some people will tell you that if you are not financially stable you can’t be at peace. I’m glad to tell you that it’s all lies, because you can have all the money in this world and still not be at peace with yourself. Mentally and spiritually you might be troubled.

Being at peace, is healthy and it is relatively the opposite of being stressed. It means that you are not over thinking. It means you are not ruminating from one thought to the other. The mind is like a room that house a lot of stuffs. For instance, your room is filled with lots of furniture, books, and other junks, there won’t be no free space, you might even find it difficult to move around. But, one certain thing is that, once you live in this room for sometimes, you get comfortable with it, no matter how uncomfortable it is.

This is the state of the mind, it is packed with fears, worries and endless, clueless thinking. With all these, the mind is in a state of stress, always jumping from one thought to another. However, if you master the art of controlling your thoughts, fears and emotions, you are a step closer to attaining a fulfilled inner peace.
